This site's host for the comic. Used to be called Keenspace. Uses an automated system for updating comics.

Information

  • Wikipedia

The Free Encyclopedia - Freely editable. The idea is that if many people edit it, eventually it will tend towards Truth. However, is it really what is happening? Good to learn about all sorts of stuff though. Some a re pearls

  • Google

The famous search engine. Need I say more?

  • Del.icio.us

This website is weird (the name and URL too) but very useful. If you know of a good website (about anything), you can recommend it here, along with other people on the internet. The more popular ones are posted more predominately and have an intensifying pink colour to them. Great way to look for good websites to learn about stuff, find tools, etc. Maybe weird to use at first, but becomes very useful with time.

Resources

  • Stock.xchg

The leading free stock photography site. I used this website for some of the background pictures on this site. Very nice when you are looking fora wallpaper of when you want a nice picture to fit in your website.

  • Google images

Good start to look for pictures. They have a bit of everything, taken from a bit everywhere. Therefore, it comes out with some unrelated pictures sometimes. Good nonetheless.

  • Feed2JS

Would you like your RSS feed from your blog put into your website directly? This is the tool for you. Good for beginners and more advanced users alike (me being a beginner ;-))

Interesting stuff

  • Google Earth

Awesome software to see satellite pictures of the world. The pictures are taken from NASA and other sources. The whole thing is 3D and looks like what the pros use on TV for maps. Try to find your house! You need a bit of a powerful computer though.

  • Picasa

Great picture editing / classification software. Quick and simple, good to keep track of your pictures. Redeye correction, contrast, turning, etc. Many options to make good looking pictures. I'm no pro, but this software made some completely dark pictures come out to life.

  • Yahoo! Widgets

Widgets is the coolest thing these days. Little programs that do little things, like give time, calendar, computer battery life, CPU usage, RSS feeds, etc. This used to be called Konfabulator, but was bought by Yahoo! Nice and slick stuff.

  • Rainlendar

Think the widgets off Yahoo! Widgets are a bit too heavy? Use this light-weight software if all you need is a good solid calendar with "to do" listing. Can be send to your desktop background, like Y!W (very useful).
